Teusday evening, March 29, after a long day, I went to Theater aan het Vrijthof to see the show 'Insane in the brain'.
That was a good choice because the energy of the show worked through to me.
There were some spectacular choreography and surprising discoveries in the show. Sometimes very pleasant as the sudden switch to "She's a maniac" from Flashdance or the funny part like inflatable sex doll that waves to a dancer in the dark while the sonf of Lionel Richie 'Hello' plays.
There was also a good dose of music like Missy Elliot, System of a Down and of course the classic track 'Insane in the brain' by Cypress Hill. Although I've enjoyed it and generally it was a good performance I have to be honest, it could have been more insane.
This performance is a fresh and energetic translation of a classic film 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'.
Too bad the theatre was not completely full.
