ABKM Jewellery & Product design 2012 graduation

Graduation exhibition of the product and Jewellery design department of ABK Maastricht is always a pleasure to visit. This year the projects and presentations were separated from each other and that worked for some presentations in favour and for some not. In general I missed the power that this department of the Academy have. Maybe I have missed something because I was there one hour before closure. Anyway, as each year there were some interesting projects.

Few names were familiar to me as they were a part of student collective Schmuckies (jewellery designers) in 2011. Schmuckies took part in the exhibition of FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2011. Their jewellery was also sold in FASHIONCLASH Store so it was nice to see their graduation work.
Some projects were more ready-to-wear and wearable and some more conceptual. I really liked the elegant and wearable collection from Morgane Kerbrat, the surreal collection inspired by 'dreams' by Joske Joosten, playful colletion of Heike Tittes and few others.
