Preview of High Fashion Low Countries

Lena Lumelsky

On July 13th High Fashion Low Countries showed a sneak preview in collaboration with Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond as an official part of Amsterdam Fashion Week Downtown.

HIGH FASHION LOW COUNTRIES is a vivid example of how relevant entities and cutting-edge designers from Belgium and The Netherlands are taking note of changing times, realizing that cultural entities, not just businesses, need to think broadly and imaginatively to ensure their continuing excellence and long-term success. Sustainable development, craftsmanship, the use of alternative materials and a less-seasonal view on fashion have gained attention amongst entrepreneurs and emerging designers in both countries.

For this project each designer worked on a capsule collection of three looks that will be presented in an upcoming exhibition in Brussels from October 12th to 26th 2012 (MAD Brussels and Modo Parcours)

One look out of each collection is presented here in exclusive at De Brakke Grond during Amsterdam Fashion Week.
A must-see tip for everyone who is in Amsterdam during the fashion week!
