SADAK AW 2013/14 "MENDEŠ"

As I mentioned once before, SADAK is one of the most exciting emerging labels out there. Each time the collection is authentic and visually striking. For the latest collection Berlin designer Saša Kovacevic flew to New York to shoot this lookbook.

SADAK collection AW 2013-14 tittle "Mendeš " is based on the true story and a personal style of a friend Miloš Mendeš, who was born and grow up in Bosnia in the 90s during the war in Ex-Yugoslawia as well as growing up as a refugee in suburbs of Holland. Referencing the cultural background, alienating the traditional costume of Bosnia as well as his personal style, combing traditional geometric pattern with different textures and fabrics. At the core of Mendeš universe (which is essential for the clothes themselves) are attitudes, moods and statements about individuality.
Although based on personal style equally important in SADAKs approach is the constant quest for innovation.
The most important message SADAK wants to communicate is: pride in individuality The key elements stay the same: modern proportions, a constant research for fabrics and textures and above all the interplay of pure construction and new shapes with the body and psyche of the contemporary fashion and art.
