Michael Sontag does not design his collections based upon a clear concept. Like sculptor, he drapes the fabric directly on the body. A returning question in his work is the interplay of inside and the outside. This is expressed by the range of fabrics for the spring summer 2014 collection.
Horsehair, traditionally used as interlining in mens suits appears here as outer material. Another usually hidden fabric lining is bonded with fine silk and in that way visible on the outside. Other materials used in this collection are fluid silks, light cotton and denim. Another added aspect he used thanks to support of are Swarowski Elements are the Swarowski crystals.
