Marc Jacobs says 'adieu' to Louis Vuitton after 16 years with an all-black spring/summer 2014 collection.
He is leaving to concentrate on his own label in which LVMH has a substantial stake.
"... To all those lovely people that I've had the great good fortune of getting to understand and work with in this city. It's been so great. Every season it seems that we get to up it more and more. And this was just Everything. Every. Single. Thing. Lesage and Lemarié... all of them, full on."
Marc Jacobs dedicated the collection to the many women who've touched or influenced him during his decade and a half in Paris, including designer muses Coco Chanel, Rei Kawakubo, and Miuccia Prada.
