Fashion Museum of Hasselt (Belgium) presents a view on Italian fashion industry with the exhibtion 'Moda - Made in Italy.The exhibition 'Moda. Made in Italy' is open until 8th of February 2014.
The combination of craftsmanship and industry and the love of tradition gave the Italian fashion industry a unique position within international fashion.
In the seventies the Italian style is booming. Roaring names such as Gianni Versace and Giorgio Armani played a crucial role in the evolution towards the famous ‘Italian Look’. In the following decades this was further explored by other great Italian talents. Today Italian houses are established values within fashion. They remain loyal to the Italian iconography.
Featured designers are : Missoni, Marni, Prada, Miu Miu, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Emilio Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Emilio Schuberth, Valentino, Andrea Cammarosano, Cerruti 1881, Valentino, Krizia, Roberto Capucci, Fendi, Versace, Armani, Mila Schön, Gianfranco Ferré, Roberto Cavalli, Romeo Gigli, Bottega Veneta and more.
