ABK Maastricht fashion design graduation 2012

It has been a while since I left the ABK Maastricht with a thrill and excitement. It is more then ten years now that I have somehow been involved in Maastricht academy. First as visitor, soon after as student, then as fashion show director, and then in connection with FASHIONCLASH.
This year again as visitor, blogger and friend. Because there was no fashion show the graduation exhibition was the only chance to see the other collections. Three students have been selected for FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2012, Brian Geradts, Andrea Mohr and Josine Heuts.
I arrived very late to see the exhibition so I had only 20 minutes to see it but it was more than enough to be thrilled about the presentation and the collections. It is the first time that the all collections are strong. The collections are interesting, wearable, sophisticated and some very authentic.
Some designer have been working with prints and developed their own materials. Such as the collection of Matt de Jong that was also styled with nice accessoiries.

Brian Geradts and Sara Veenstra are the two lucky once, their collections are selected for the prestigious Lichting 2012 that will take place next week during Amsterdam Fashion Week. I am glad that I do not have to choose two best collections.
The collections show exactly what ABK Maastricht fashion and textile department aims to achieve. We would select them all for FASHIONCLASH Maastricht.
Hereby I am excited to say that this is the best ABK Maastricht fashion graduation so far!
