Opening STUDIO ÇEDILLE DESIGN in Maastricht

Designer Françoise Oostwegel opens her own studio / store 'STUDIO ÇEDILLE DESIGN' in the stylish heart of Maastricht. Located in Minckelersstraat 16, STUDIO ÇEDILLE DESIGN will not only funcion as Oostwegel's studio but also as store that offers other young designers a platform to sell their work. Therefore this store is a must-see feature to Maastricht's shopping experience.

Françoise Oostwegel graduated from MAFAD in 2014 and since then, she successfully exhibited her work at various events and galleries. She is mostly known for her graduation project, a lamp titled 'ZUID' (south) and the lounge chiar FYRSTA.

'The lamp “ZUID” tells the story about the Limburg province in the South of The Netherlands. The characteristics of the Limburg province are brought to life in my lamp like the shape, material and colors.
 The traditional timbered houses and mining lamps inspired me for the shape of the lamp.
 The octagonal shape gives it a sleek design and is made out of wood. For the wood I selected a Limburg style type of oak wood. It has a beautiful wood grain and oak trees grow in my hometown – Houthem. The lamp can have multiple functions. The handle enables the user to move it around and create light in places most desired. The basic and natural materials give it a nice and clean look and make this piece very versatile.'

Located at Maastrichter Heidenstraat 3A in Maastricht, Milan Palma Studio/Atelier offers handmade leather bags and accessories. The space breaths quality and craftmanship and is a must-see spot in Maastricht.

FASHIONCLASH Pop-up Store open from November 1 

To strengthen the Maastricht fashion industry the City of Maastricht is organizing the project Designer/Entrepreneur, a business coaching project. In seven sessions at the Institute for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Instituut voor Midden- en Kleinbedrijf (IMK)), talented young designers are being trained to become entrepreneurs with a well-developed business plan. In addition to these workshops, the designers are being supervised by an advisory team.

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013 is over. We are looking back to amazing 9 days. Here is  an impression of the Side Program throughout Maastricht.
For all the fashionista’s among us there are several pop-up stores in the city. To start with, there is the FASHIONCLASH FEE pop-up store in collaboration with FEE conceptstore where one could find unique fashion, accessories and jewelry. Beside there was the GANG Store, STRIKKS pop-up store, Studio Manufactura store, ABKM talent pop-up store and a pop-up store at de Bijenkorf Maastricht.
FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013 ended in style with a great opening of the brand new exhibition FASHIONCLASH @ Museum aan het Vrijthof.
You can now enjoy fashion in Maastricht at the museum until September 8th 2013.

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht celebrates its 5th edition and therefore the fashion event will last for nine days this year. Besides the regular program including fashion shows, exhibition and perform- ances, an extensive Side Program is taking place with pop-up shops, exhibition and workshops.
One of the pop-up stores is the FASHIONCLASH pop-up store at de Bijenkorf Maastricht with Belgian designers Black Balloon, Pierre Antoine Vettorello and Tom Van der Borght.

GANG Store by &TheGANG at Mosae Forum Maastricht

FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013 official opening is next week, May 31, but today we had a short preview of amazing days to come. Fashion collective „&theGANG“ opened a pop up store at Mosae Forum Maastricht. In collaboration with Sessibon they gave a great opening with fashion performances. GANG Store is one of the Side Program locations during FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013. Really worth checking it out.

Fashion collective„&theGANG“ is consisting of 3 independent fashion labels: - Rebecca Fuchs (owner of „fucca“) - Milena Lehr (owner of „zwaluw clothes“) - Anne- Kathrin Bannier (owner of „house of hypnos“).All are former allumni of the ABK Maastricht. They are based in and around Düsseldorf (Germany).

They will show their new collection in the fashion show program at FASHIONCLASH Maastricht 2013.
