CONCRETE CHOREOGRAPHIES
Pomme sees the built environment as a choreographer for our movements. Streets, buildings, its intersections, they shape how we move through a city. Sometimes there are stairs, floors, curves, or slopes which have more choreographic potential than others, they challenge to make a certain movement or walk in a different rhythm.
With this project, she brings the two worlds of dance and the build environment, the work of the choreographer and the architect, closer together.
Concrete choreographies is a series of street tiles which invite you to dance. The shapes and surfaces of the tiles welcome you to make dance moves, jumps, turns and slides. Imagine different compositions being plugged into our city streets and squares, offering pathways for spontaneous dancing.
