Sangue Novo Calls for designers

ModaLisboa continues to focus on the discovery and promotion of new talents in Fashion and the development of emerging author brands, through the Sangue Novo – Young Designers Competition. The applications for the next edition of the competition run until July 5, 2019.



Open to finalists of higher education degrees and professional courses in Fashion Design from Portuguese or international schools, and young fashion designers who have already finished their training and are currently starting their own brands, Sangue Novo will have two selection phases.
In a first phase, the jury - composed by Miguel Flor, Felipe Oliveira Baptista and Lidija Kolovrat - will select 10 projects to be presented at the Sangue Novo show in October 2019.
In the October 2019 presentation, the jury will elect 6 finalist designers to present a new collection at the Sangue Novo show in March 2020. Each finalist will receive a monetary prize of 1000 euro.

In March 2020, the jury will elect the winners of the ModaLisboa Awards in partnership with Polimoda and with Tintex. The FASHIONCLASH Festival and The Feeting Room awards will also be awarded.
ModaLisboa Award in partnership with Polimoda: Polimoda Master in Fashion Design, or Polimoda Master in Collection Design + 3500 euro. ModaLisboa Award in partnership with Tintex Textiles: 3 week residence at the Portuguese company Tintex Textiles + 2000 euro. Fashionclash Festival Award: Fashion show at the Maastricht Fashion Festival, in November 2020.
The Feeting Room Award (awarded at both phases of the competition): sale of the winning collection at The Feeting Room store in Lisbon or Oporto.
