FASHIONCLASH Queer Stories podcast

FASHIONCLASH, the platform for fashion culture and talent development, presents "Queer Stories" – a podcast series in which Branko Popovic talks to queer makers, with a special focus on drag. The series offers a unique and personal glimpse into the stories of five inspiring makers who express their art and identity through the art of drag. You can hear personal stories and perspectives on drag, but also about various social themes and challenges that these artists experience in their brave search for freedom of self-expression.
For example, how performance student Kees Huisman discovered the magic of make-up, how drag became central to the work of fashion designer Teun Seuren, how Pieter Roberts created more freedom with his alter ego Patty Pam-Pam or how in 1982 Marcel Leenders appeared on stage for the first time in a dress from his mother.

In this series, FASHIONCLASH collected the stories of the queer community from Limburg and presented the stories on Ons Limburgs Museum. In a region where creative platforms for queer makers are not self-evident, this podcast offers space for unmistakable stories and allows the underrepresented queer culture in Limburg to grow.

Through fashion events, festivals, workshops, talks, podcasts and performances, FASHIONCLASH creates a platform for new generations of fashion makers and promotes awareness about the role of fashion in our society.

The podcast is created in collaboration with Dennis Gaens and Limburs Museum
