As a kick-off to the Fall/Winter 2014/15 season of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, the PREMIUM team crowned the three designers in the categories of womenswear, menswear, and accessories.
This season, PREMIUM presented the award at the Wyndham Grand Berlin Potsdamer Platz. More than 350 buyers, industry insiders, members of the press, and fashion fans attended the exciting evening, hosted by Patrice Bouédibéla.
PREMIUM is pleased to announce the winners of the Fall/Winter 2014/15 PREMIUM YOUNG DESIGNERS AWARD:
WOMENSWEAR Winner: Louise Körner x MUUSE by Louise Körner
Louise Körner established her identically named label in 2012 after an excellent education at the prestigious University Central Saint Martins in London and the renowned Istituto Marangoni. Louise’s extraordinary talent for flamboyant prints and rich diversity of materials ranging from silk and wool to jersey was promptly discovered by MUUSE, an international fashion label specialized in starting off young talents worldwide by assisting them with production, distribution and promotion. The London based label’s autumn/winter 2014/15 collection was inspired by the desert landscape and an abandoned factory amidst dunes.

MENSWEAR Winner: Nadi Studio by Na Di
Born and raised in Beijing, Na Di learned the craft of fashion design at the British University of Northumbria and later specialized in menswear during her Masters programme at Central Saint Martins. Her academic success led to the participation in the famous Graduate Fashion Week and to the display of her final collection at the Royal Victoria House. Na Di now exhibits her street style and vintage toy inspired fall/winter 2014/15 collection at PREMIUM. Detailed prints picturing Barbie dolls, animals, flowers and much more are combined with traditional men’s tailoring and sportswear influences as well as a range of materials including wool, cotton, cashmere and leather.

ACCESSORIES Winner: Hemsley London by Jayne Hemsley
The collection of this London based label is indeed ‘very British’. The concept is well-wrought right down to the last detail: even the models carry the names of British regions such as Oxford, Buckingham and Derby. Prior to realizing her vision of the perfect bag and founding her label Hemsley London, Jayne Hemsley studied at the London College of Fashion and gained work experience at Alexander Mc Queen and others. This fall/winter 2014/15 collection’s warm and deep colours reflect the landscape of the United Kingdom including black, alabaster, sand, deep dark green and red. Hemsley London perfectly orchestrates luxury and today’s modern lifestyle that increasingly demands functionality and highest quality. Therefore all bags are hand made of fine Italian leather and decorated with minimalist chrome details.
