Jan Taminiau presented his latest collection M A R V E L O U S at the Residence of the Dutch Ambassador in Paris.
" M A R V E L O U S refers to the superheroes in the Marvel Comic strips, which I have eagerly paged through for many years now. In the fantastic visual language of comics, the unique strengths and weaknesses of the superhero are key. Everyone must find the strength to overcome their weak points.
In this collection I honour the female body by placing the emphasis on the hips, waist, breasts, buttocks and shoulders. I aim to showcase those beautiful body parts women sometimes are afraid to reveal. My body contouring dresses help women to arm themselves, and to emit strength and pride, plus a touch of super heroin toughness."
