BRANKOPOPOVICBLOG: The Beginning Show 2022

The Beginning Show 2022, the graduation show of Maastricht Institute of Arts took place from June 30 - July 3.
During the annual graduation exhibition, the graduates of the Maastricht Institute of Arts show how they look at the outside world with different eyes, how they react and how they position themselves. The nature of the exhibited works varies from performance, installation, graphic design, illustration, photo, film, sound art, products, materials, object to theoretical reflection. The show features work from various departments such as Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Interdisciplinary Arts etc.

On the opening evening two awards were presented. Lizzie Veldkamp and Jules Coumans won De Gilbert de Bontridderprijs 2022 and Mique Eggermont Award was given to Caroline Sarneel.

My visit mostly focused on the design and fine arts department. See below some impressions.
